Options Choices
You will shortly receive a letter regarding your student’s Options choices. This letter will confirm what subjects they will be studying from September 2023 as they move into Year 10 and Key Stage 4. Strike action – 27th April and 2nd May
The NEU is continuing its industrial action and has announced two more days of strikes: Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May.
School will be open to different year groups as follows:
- Thursday 27th April: open for Years 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13 (i.e. Years 7 and 9 will be at home)
- Tuesday 2nd May: open for Years 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13 (i.e. Years 8 and 9 will be at home)

Year 9 vaccinations
Year 9’s routine Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio and Meningitis ACWY vaccinations are now due. These vaccinations are given by the School-Aged Immunisation Team. Please click here to read the full letter.

Cashless catering
Please remember to top up your child’s cashless catering account via Parent Pay to ensure your child is able to purchase food at break and during lunchtimes.

Year 9 Choices form
Earlier today your child was sent the electronic link to the Year 9 options form. We have purposefully waited until today because we wanted all students to have had their options interview before they completed the form. Please spend a few minutes with your child over the next 2 days to complete their choices. They need to take their time with it however, as the form only allows them to submit it once.
Any problems, please ask them to speak to their form tutor in registration.
