We would like to ask parents and carers for their help with a safety concern at the start of the school day.
A number of vehicles are turning around at the Sixth Form entrance and using the Sixth Form car park to drop off / park for students in the morning. This car park is quite small – with a large number of inexperienced drivers – and when extra cars come in, it quickly becomes congested and increasingly more difficult for students (both drivers and pedestrians) to navigate.
We therefore kindly ask that you do not:
- turn into the Sixth Form entrance to drop off or collect
- park or stop in the Sixth Form car park
- drop off at the Sixth Form gates
Instead, please drop your child off on the road outside school, or a short distance away, where they can walk the final part of the journey safely. When stopping on the road, please park considerately and legally. Avoid blocking driveways, junctions or crossing points, and be mindful of our neighbours.
We know that mornings can be busy, and we are very grateful for your support with this. A few minutes’ extra walk makes a real difference to the safety of all our students and helps the start of the day run smoothly for everyone.
